Welcome to my blog!
I'm more likely to be found on tumblr rather than here, but I thought I'd make this account because I've heard a lot of good things about Dreamwidth. If tumblr every actually goes down I'll probably be on here a lot more.

Stuff you're likely to find on this blog:
  • Occasional knitting projects. I'm learning and I've made a couple of things, but there's still a lot more I want to try out. Eventually I might pick up crocheting as well. My ravelry account is here!
  • Writing. (Mostly fanfiction——maybe eventually some original work? Who knows!) My ao3 account is here!
  • Just me randomly blogging about my interests. This may include stuff I've read or watched recently, or maybe a subject I've become really fascinated in spontaneously. I'm hoping to study urban planning at uni, so if that works out expect me to post a bit about that :)
  • I might occasionally talk about current events/political issues, as well as linking some resources. Most of this talk will likely be UK-focused because I live there. I'll be tagging this stuff with 'politics post'.

A bit about me:
  • Nonbinary (they/it) and I like to go by Corrie, but I also accept nicknames based on my account name.
  • An adult (at least 18 years old, born 2006).
  • I'm a fan of many different genres of music, but the ones I listen to the most, as of making this post, are metal and goth. I'm planning on getting a lot of physical copies of my music (vinyl, CD, cassette, etc) so I might post about some of that! I'll be tagging that as 'music physical finds'.

About my fanworks/original writing: I'd love to see if someone was inspired by my works in any way, and I'd love to know if you do so! I don't have any problem with people building off my work, as long as they don't use AI to do so (I'm not a massive fan of it, for obvious reasons). If you want to translate my work, add it to another site, make a podfic of it, etc., please let me know! The answer will most likely be yes, anyway :)

That's all I have to put on here for now. Have fun looking at my blog——and if I know you from another site (e.g. we're mutuals on tumblr) don't hesitate to talk to me on here! :D

I prefer physical music media - the way an album is structured (esp those made pre-digital music era) has thought behind it. Eg. Pink Floyd. New Order's early albums had post-punk one side, and synthwave/electronic on the other. There was a purpose to it all.

yeah it's really unfortunate that the whole art behind album themes and ordering of the songs and what it means and the feel/moods it puts you in has become literally a lost art... everyone just buys single songs or listens to them via streaming or whatever the algorithm chooses for you...
